AMG vs. standard S500/550 different exhaust note?

sure does make a difference with the amg exhaust on vs the no amg exhaust on, search these 2 pages as there is a topic on it. I just did a s600 to an s65 swap and there is a difference, sounds more aggressive

Where did you find the S65 exhaust? how much did you pay for it?

Maybe I misunderstood the question 
are you are looking to swap the exhaust system? Or are you wondering if a normal 500/550 with an AMG package gives off a AMG sound? An amg appearance package doesn't give the AMG sound it may have AMG tips like my E-Class because it has the package but it still sounds like a kitten. If the 550s you seen sounded great it could be due to exhaust mods like removing the cats or resonator or like bondox did by swapping the exhaust system. I am not sure what your car would sound like by removing the exhaust components though, it's not very common on non-amgs are far as I know.

I think there's a lot of confusion here - you need to differentiate between the AMG styling (S 550 Sport) package and car with an AMG prepped motor (S63/65)
Sport Package no impact, AMG motor significant impact.

I meant AMG styling (S 550 Sport) only. I can have different measures as most of the cars here in Spain are diesel so everything from V6 up sounds great
