PRE-SAFE False Alarm 2010 S550
Has this ever happened to anyone?
I was driving in traffic today and the car in front accelerated away, and I followed. There was plenty (at least 100') of space between us. As I accelerated, all of the sudden my car braked hard, my seat belt pulled (impressively) tight and the Parktronic indicators on the dash turned on, red.
After this event, everything cleared up and I could drive away.
Is there anything in the car I should have checked that could have caused this? Is the seat belt tightener (again, very, very tight) a reusable system or does it need to get checked after activating?
