Ecu upgrade
Hy!
I'm thinking of upgrading my ECU for a s320 CDI. Any suggestions or personal experiences?it doesn't matter if it is a petrol engine.
I guess the best is from Brabus but it is very expensive(2000 euro and a teacher has 150 euro salary in my country...so you understand how expensive it is), kleemann looks great at about 700 euro(the cheapest)but i'm not sure if it is that good. Another option in between these 2 is from Carlsson. Still, i don't know very good what to chose because i've read many articles which said that the Ecu upgrading can destroy your engine...

Im not sure about the CDI, but on my S550 it gained 42HP from a new ECU and exhaust boosting to about 430HP. This costed around 4,500USD including installation.
Lorinser does offer a tuning program for CDIs i believe. check them out.

The best or nothing
I used to remap my BMW cars only diesel ones though.. and I wouldn't do it again.. sorry too tired to write more but if you want/need more power buy a stronger car.. remapping sucks
