Rear Window Question

Not huge in life's scheme, but I noticed arrows and a couple words printed in the black under the glass on both side edges, of the rear window. The wording is up towards the roof line.

It says "Cut" and there is an arrow pointing both ways toward the wording. It's identical on both sides. The arrows and "cut" are not at the bottom near the trunk.

It just seems strange, considering the words and arrows are under the rear window glass.

Any other owners seen this or, for that matter, even noticed? Just curious, if others have this and what its purpose is.

Thanks.

These are cutting points for rescue workers. If the vehicle is involved in an accident and the rescue workers need to cut open the vehicle, these cutting points help them from accidentally cutting into the air bag inflaters for the side curtain airbags.

You should notice matching cut points on the front windshield near the top as well, if you look closely enough.

Gosh, I love this forum. Thanks to those replying.

Because the word is under glass, I never thought of "cutting" for access. Makes sense.
