Deals on remaining 2010 S550s?

Hey guys. I'm looking at 08/09 used S550s but I noticed there are quite a few 2010s still left on the lot in southern california. If I'm not picky about color choice, how much can i expect to get off on the least desirable color combos that some dealers have overstock of?

I'm noticing most of the cars left are over 100k. If a dealer has 3 of the same car with same color combo that is sitting by year end, how motivated will they be to move it. In other words, how much loss are they willing to take just to get rid of it? Would an offer of 70k on one of these in late Dec/ or Jan be a pipe dream? Anyone familiar with how much dealers will eat to move really old inventory? Thanks

From the article it looks like the incentives are about 10k, so it seems like the only way to get something slightly south of 80 k is to find a base model at the 91 k sticker and really negotiate, BUT, I've never in my life seen a base, base model with no extras, on the lot...

Get the 07, 08, or 09. The differences are very minor and some of the "facelifts" you can do with little cost. I have the 2010 tails on mine and I cant tell you how many people ask me "that's the new one, right?"

I have a CPO, warrantied 07 that I paid less then 50 k for with almost every option including night view, lighted sills, IWC AMG clock, 4matic etc., and after test driving a 10, it is exactly the same to me! Except for the big depreciation is out of it. As a bonus the color which I love, they don't offer anymore! I'm going to keep this car as long as I can!

Getting a 10 for 70K seems incredibly unreasonable to me.

buying a 2010 feels like a waste to me, but then again I never buy new cars, always a year or 2 old. Maybe if the 2010 was a new body style, but its just a w221 with led headlights

I think the new body is in 2012, right? I'll keep the 07 till 2014 or so then look for a CPO 12!

Until how long do you estimate until a CPO 2008 S550V4 with P2, Parktronic, iPod/BT kit, and the warranty extended to 7 years can be had for $50K+tax/registration? I'm starting to see a lot of CPO 2008s in the mid 50s but oddly it has not that much affected the 2007 prices (yet).
