Wow I can't believe its finally here. After months of bugging you guys with questions which you all have been so gracious to answer and a wishful screen name, I finally have an S550 to my name. Plus I worked really hard to get it at the projected age (personal goal) as well.
I now see what all the fuss is about, that car is unreal and is a work of art. There is definetly only two kinds of cars out there, Mercedes Benz and the others.
Ok ok, enough of the rant (really can't help it). It is a fully loaded Black 2008, P3 with Pano roof and a tan interior. Once again damn that car is pretty.
Quick question, I only got one set of keys, how much will it cost to get a second key made and I'm sure this can be done at a Benz dealer.
Plus do you think the Benz dealer can throw in the manual for free?
I will post pictures soon.

Congrats!!!
I think the number I've seen discussed around here for the second set is $250.00. Might vary from dealer to dealer or state to state. I would assume the dealer, as a goodwill gesture.. or even customer service issue (I'm assuming they would love to have your service business in the future) would make sure the car had the correct manuals.

You can get manual on MBUSA website. No need for hard copy.
Congrats and good luck.

I got it for $54k and 27k miles on it.
Welcome to the 'hood!
In snow country? I am in Wisconsin. Driven MB since the eighties. I put four snows on the others each season. Have my first 4Matic. This AWD hasn't disappointed me so far.
Looks as you got a solid vehicle for a reasonable cost.
This forum and past threads are a gold mine of info. I am sure all here share in your joy and obvious pride.
Good luck.

Yeap it has the AMG sports package. That package delayed the buying process for a while. its really hard to find an S550 sport with the right package.

Nice, good deal. Looks like they've came down some since I was in the car market 7 months ago.

Congrats man, my 2003 S430 was my first S-class and it was a personal goal also, so I can imagine your enjoyment. Seems like you got a good deal also.
My father lost his S550 key and we ordered one from my local Mercedes dealer and it was $185 after taxes if I remember correctly. Took the keyless go button off, put the key in, and its been working perfectly fine ever since.
I'm sure you will enjoy that S550.

Is it CPO? For what you paid, the dealer should at least provide you with 2 sets of key and a owner manual.
Its definitely, the best car I have driven. Well coming from an M35x, i would say that but for people coming from a Bentley or Masarati, they might feel different. I really don't think I can ever drive anything else.
Sometimes I just cruise an extra 10mins past work or home just because the car is that nice. My next vehicle will probably be the CL 550 or 600 (drolling at the thought of more horses). But I did notice one thing that I wasn't too impressed about and it was the Harmon Kardon Sound system. I have to admit, the Bose in my infiniti sounded much better.
Then again, Bose is only second to B&O and even that can be argued.

No the Car isn't a CPO but its under warranty (only 27k miles). CPO is a big rip off because the mercedes benz dealers in Chicago were selling the same car with more miles for $66k. That's really crazy, i know you want to make some money but damn.
I haven't had any problems so far and I take very good care of my cars anyway. So i don't anticipate any major problems in the future either.
