Will these tires fit?
Serves me right for buying tires on sale before being absolutely sure, but...


Would 225/40/19's fit on a 19" 8.5" wide, 35mm offset rim?

These are snow tires for a 4matic S550.

They will fit the rim, but they are too small for the car 245/45-19 is the right size

My oem 4matic tires are 255's. But you can also use 245"s for snow tires.

I know its not the ideal size, but I found brand new blizzaks in this size for 50% off so I bought them. The guide said that 225/40's will fit on a 7.5" - 9" rim, so 8.5" is safely in that zone.

What do you mean by "too small for the car"? Width? Height?

I have always been told that skinnier tires are better for winter.
