How to reboot command?

I have a 2010 S550 and cannot find ANY instructions of rebooting the Command System. I searched the forums and owner's manual. (maybe wrong search words?).

Info please....

May I ask why you want to reboot it? Pull off the fuse for half a minute and put it back if you don't want to use the factory reset menu from Comand (and if you do not find it sufficient).

reason for reboot

I am having a problem with recording t0 my harddisk. First thing that comes to mind(after making sure I am following proper procedure) is to reboot the system. On my Audi if was a simple "three finger salute" variant. Here it appears to be a little more complex and not so user friendly. If that is the case I will leave it for my dealer to diagnose and fix.

Press the unload (eject) button on the DVD changer down for 10 seconds.

Kind of Ctrl-Alt-Del on your PC. I have to do it every so often when mine freezes.

I was not aware of this eject button feature. I was neither aware that some have units that freeze every now and then, shouldn't you update the SW or is it some sort of a HW issue?

I am not having the problem with freezing. I only wanted to see if a warm reboot would fix the disk i/o errrors. I will bring it up with the dealer when I go back there, but a soft-reboot couldn't hurt and might actually help.
