2009 S550V4 Saks Key to Cure
A couple of months ago, MB had incentives of $13k (for 4-matics) and $5k (for demos). Add this to the $8k markup and you could ask for $26k off MSRP. Worth a shot if you can find a 2010.

There is always the route of dressing up a 2007 to look like a 2010..

Demo cash has been cut off and the cash has been cut as well, the 2010s are going for mid-high teens off of MSRP...if you can find someone to put it anywhere near 20k off I would run down with your checkbook.

Locally, the dealers are still sitting on the same 2010s they've had for 2 months. These are usually the leftovers they couldn't sell even with 20-25K off - the fully loaded with AMG in silver or other less popular colors.
Will dealers just sit on these all year?? I just don't see anyone buying these leftover cars with the current incentives.

How likely is it that MB will raise the cash again to get rid of remaining 2010s?

Holdback is always going to be there, and if you check with Costco auto buying (always a benchmark of a good deal, it may not be the absolute best deal in the world but is generally agressive and has no brain damage in buying a car) and see what their pricing is. As of right now there are no cash incentives on the 2011s, if you want the deep discounts get a 2010.

DCubed...how about leasing 2010's......in terms of the residuals, etc. with the 2011's being out....is it going to be cheaper to lease a 2010 with say $20k off than a 2011 (with nowhere near that much off)? It seems a lot of dealers are saying the 2011 is going to be cheaper to lease......but then again, I'm sure that's what they are trained to say.

black/black premium/sport S550 with 10,000 miles for sale.
any one interested in a black/black 2010 S550 with 10,000 miles? It has the premium package and the sport package. I leased it through my business and am facing a move for business purposes and need to get out of the lease at this time. It is a wonderful car and I will probably get another when I get things moved and the new business site up and running, but I need to cut that expense untill I do.

That may be your point of view but the S550s still sold well in December even with the lowered cash and we got rid of our last 4 in the last week of 2010. Its still a nice pile of cash on the car and MB has told all dealers that they were cutting the cash in Oct-Nov and that it would not be raised back to the old levels.

I've had several offers of $19k off 2010's.....however, I want to lease so it's cheaper to do a 2011. Dealers don't seem too willing to make a lot off 2011's.....I have had 2 offers of $7k off....which I guess is OK.....but I got my 750 for $10k off 2 weeks ago without too much hassle.

C63 AMG(sold), 2009 CL550, 2010 S550 Majestic Black, 2010 ML550, 2006 C230, 2009 Venza
I've seen 2010 models now going for as low as $75,000. I think that's an awesome price considering a year ago it was $100,000

10 MB S550, 07 MB S65, 07 S600, 03 MB S430 Graphite Designo, (Sold w/227k miles)99 E430
Yeah, that deal is the reason I have a black on black 2010 S550 with P2, AMG pkg, ABC, splitview, and iPod integration in my garage right now. I got the car on September 16, 2010. I also love the Attention Assist feature which my 07 S600 doesn't have. My dealer knocked a clean 20k off the top of the window price before we even sat down. On top of all that I came in to order a 2011 S550 and left with a 2010 S550 and more money left in my pockets than expected. My best advise is to try to find a 2010, which has already probably been marked down by now and it'll be a deal indeed.
