Multicontour/Drive Dynamic Seats Unknowns
I confess to techical igorance. An easy task, to those who read my posts.
I have a 2007, with the seat adjustment/manipulation via air option. It doesn't work. MB tech says shoulder areas in passenger seat "adapter" leak. Thus, doesn't work. Whole new adapter needed. OK.I am addressing a new part.
Tied to the kaput air moulding/massage option is a dlr. identified dead driver heated seat/cushion cover (the element is in the leather/cover). I went to MB Express Parts and an option of the leather cover was presented--offered was w/multi contour and w/o.
Here's the uncertainty. Two issues.
Can a vehicle have "multicontour seats" option and NOT have "drive dynamic"? I have dug and am still uncertain. I have a console button that that allows the COMMAND screen to bring up manipulation of the side bolster, lumbar, shoulders etc., found on the left of the COMMAND screen. To the right of the screen, I see "Drv. Dynamic" and the ability to toggle an intensity or similar.
Based on that, here's the query--are multicontour and drive dynamic separate critters? One and the same? What do I have?
I said I am a babe in the technical woods. Any and all direction and advice is appreciated, before I order parts (out of warr., due to mile, not time).

If I understand right, you are after the seat cover part. Multicontour seats and Drive dynamic seats are two different options, 409 and 432. 432 should have the features from 409 plus some additional ones. There are multiple different options for the seat cover but the part should not be different for 409 versus 432.
