Hi, the rear view camera on my W221 has stopped working. When I put it in to reverse the COMAND screen changes as if it is going to show the rear view but then goes back to the station list (while I'm still in reverse). I have tried turning the rearview camera off and on in the settings but it makes no difference. Either the camera has failed or a system needs resetting. Anyone had similar problems and if so is it easy to fix?

LI54.65-P-047195 JUL09 reversing camera inoperative line can kink or break at the locations on the hinge and rear shelf in trunk and will be replaced.

 

Hey thanks, I'm in the UK and that is a US TSB so am I correct in thinking that as my car is out of warranty and the TSB doesn't relate to the UK that the repair will be chargeable? I suppose that as I know where the fault is I can have a go at fixing it myself and if I need a new cable it shouldn't cost that much.
