New s550 owner. Front plate delete? wood steering wheel? & ipod

Hey Fellas,

Just bought a CPO, S550 today. black/black from mbenz of miami. Few questions.

I got everything I wanted other then the wood steering wheel, what are my options to getting it.

The car came with a front plate bracket, has anyone done any clean front plate deletes.

and last question, my car didn't come with the IPOD connect, whats available.

really appreicate it.

Thank you

For the front plate delete, buy a set of bumper plugs. Removing the bracket is easy, but you'll be left with a few small holes which you can fill with these. You can get an exact match for your paint.

Bumper Plugs

I got my wood steering wheel from DCT MotorSports. There are cheaper options on eBay, but the DCTMS AMG Sport wood steering wheel is untouchable as far as quality is concerned. Much nicer than the OEM one. Def worth the money.

Congrats on the car! I love mine.

An alternative is to get a German license plate for the front.

Best value I could find was at www.EuropeanPlates.com
They have a special including state decals and frame here

I would just put a customized plate in the front. It looks better than a couple of plugged holes, and provides some degree of a buffer in case of a minor bump. I personally prefer the look of the front end with the bracket.

Are the EU plates for the front legal in california? What does everyone do? Custom or just use your actual plate number?

In CA anything other than the original plate itself can get you a ticket, it doesnt matter if the eu plate has your actual plate number its still NOT the original plate.

ROLMAO, that would be funny, a cop pulls you over for your front plates, and then he comes back in front and it's there. Do that for the rears too and you can run red lights cameras and cross toll bridges w/o getting busted.
