2008 to 2011 S63 Conversion
Here she is.
After some time, I have completed my conversion from 08 S63 to 11 S63.
Headlights, tail lights, mirrors, lowering module, exhaust and new light leveling module for headlights. I have snows on now but have 22" inch Vossens that will go on in a few weeks.
It did take time but I want to thank Ahmedito on this forum for all his help.
The lowering module is amazing. It is electronic with 4 settings. 4 being the lowest. It is on 1 now. It actually lifts the car to stock as you accelerate and lowers the car as you slow down to a crawl. It plugs into the current system.
I have a few things to work out, like the tail light error on the dash. The new sam did not take. Also the inner wheel covers don't fit properly even though I ordered them for a 2011 from the dealer. I am checking with dealer on that.
You definitely need a mechanic who will take on the challenge unless you are very knowledgeable on MB systems, which I was not. But definitely worth it for me.
The exhaust is heaven. It blips and is deep.

Wow, looks ultrafab! I would not have been able to tell the difference. Must have cost a lot though!
I do wonder, how are the new headlights performing? Do all the intelligent functions work properly, and no errors? If so, then that's quite an accomplishment.
I am planning to upgrade my S550 also, except I don't think I'm going to spring extra for the new headlights yet, I just want the LED DRLs with my old headlights if I can ever figure out how!

The headlights are performing well, no errors. I installed the recently released intelligent interface from MasterTuning. It has a glitch, which I am working through. But no errors.

Almost done too! Just need new headlights to work so car can be reassembled.
Question:
1. Does the Master Tuning kit come with the plug adapters, I notice the headlight plugs are different between the new and old?
2. Also do I need a new reprogrammed SAM too?
