B Service in NJ

2011 S550 4matic

B Service in NJ

Just a heads up for anyone in NJ due for B Service. Open Road in Bridgewater has a special on B service for $249 till the end of this month. I called them and they did advise it should be $349 however they will honor it @$249. Just thought I would share.

They don't really do anything when service A and B is required. I just have them change the oil and have them rest the comp. It's a a gimmick, IMO?

What about service C and D? My computers tell me one day service C is due in 1100 miles then it changes to service D hours or days later. Should i be concerned?

If your car have low milage. I would just ask your service advisor what is really needed to be change/replace. Higher milage cars need more attention? Don't waste your money by going what the comp say. Cause if you look at service A. There charging an extra $100 or so for just inspecting the car. And only the engine oil is replaced. To me, I think it's a waste of $$?

Last time I had my car in for service, the service adviser asked if my vehicle was leased? I asked him why? His response was if the vehicle was leased, there would be a penalty payment at the end of the lease if the full services were not performed. If the vehicle was not leased, some of the required items could be skipped. The only difference between "A" and "B" service is replacement of the cabin filter. There is no harm if this isn't done as long as air still flows freely through the filter.

The one single item he said to not miss was transmission service at 39,000 to 40,000 miles
