Can you bring your car in for inspection b4 your warranty expires?
I'm looking at an 08 from an indie, the warranty expires sept. this year. If I purchased it from him, can I bring it in and have them go over the whole car b4 warranty expires or do I have to wait for something to break?

In order for a dealer to go make a warranty claim there needs to be something wrong with the car that you know about. I have never seen a dealer look for issues then make a warranty claim. I think what you should do is take the car out for an extended test drive (as long as the indie will let you) and go over the car with a fine-toothed comb. Obviously transmission issues and anything else which can't be seen, will be difficult to detect, but at least you can get some things that you find fixed before the warranty expires.

Although this is my experience in Canada. Could be different for MBUSA

but I think it will cost money to have the inspection done.
They threw in an oil and filter change since the car was up.
2 months before the warranty runs out next year, I will take it in again and tell them to use the same microscope to find stuff, but this time the repairs will not be on my nickel..
