Is your engine noisey?

Comparing to the S500, I can hear the engine belt/fans running more from inside the cabin. Is anyone else experiencing this?

This is my first Benz so I have nothing to compare it to but I have noticed it's a bit louder than I would have expected. I was accrediting it to the hot weather and maybe it was working a bit harder. We can do a comparison next week if we meet up, I'm still on target to be down there thur/fri

Cool, let me know in advance cause I travel between office in SF and Alameda.

I hope the you know what would arrive on time to look at it. I'm dropping my car off for the squeaky seats tomorrow and have another SA look at the wheel hop issue. Do you have that issue on yours? I'm now getting that hopping even when I'm moving slowly.

I'm surprised by how loud the main cooling fan is whenever I leave the car running. For instance, parked running next to a Honda Fit, Ford Escape, and my car, the S550 was easily the loudest. By the way, we're in the middle of a heat wave, and this happened just today.
But, I smiled when I got in because, besides the interior fan noise, I couldn't hear the main engine cooling fan. I turned the a/c fan down a bit, and it was still pretty quiet. So, I'm impressed by the sound deadening capabilities of the car.

When the A/C is on full blast, I think both the s500 and the s550 have a very noisy cooling fan, but that sucker is working hard.

Otherwise, I'd say interior engine sound volume is maybe a touch, and I do mean very minorly, louder in the 550.
