i think with the oem taillights either it won't go full on or some weird things can happen. there's a thread when people first tried that. that's why the aftermarket ones came up (ebay) that has the new look but internally they figured out all the led resistance already

I would think putting a fake badge would detract from resale value. The mods looked nice minus the fake badge. When I see a fake badge the first thing I start wondering is if the model (s550) badge is fake as well.

Rather than start a new thread, I thought i'd bump this one. I will be getting a 2007-2008 s550 in the nearest future and plan on doing the facelift to a 2010+ model.

i found some aftermarket bumpers that come with the led fog lights and mesh at the bottom and also found some used oem front bumpers but they didn't have the mesh and led fogs. I prefer to go the oem route but can't seem to find the led fogs and mesh anywhere.

Anyone find the led fogs and mesh grill that goes at the bottom on ebay or elsewhere? please point me in the direction. If these parts can't be sourced separately, i guess i can always settle for the aftermarket bumper that comes with the led fogs and mesh as a package.

wow..didnt even know they had different bumpers. Am new to the world of mercedes. Range rover user for a long time.

I just went back to look at the bumpers i found on ebay and found they are both AMG. here is a link to one of them on ebay:

Since i was oblivious to the difference in front bumpers, i have to be honest and say that my attraction to the 2010+ model is simply for the clean classy look of the LED fogs. So am fine with any of the 2010+ models bumpers that has it.

That is the AMG sport bumper...Not the bigger S65 AMG style(Wich I preffer). No problem to get you DRL and mesh for that for you.
