Hello mbworld,

a friend of mine asked to help him to get an s550 from USA. What's the best place to look for price/quality wise? This car is for his personal use but he has plans to run a car dealership and manheim is probably the best option to get cars. Am I correct about that?
is there a way to get access to history of sold prices on manheim to estimate price for a decent 3-4 years old s550? Can someone can post prices along with manufacturing date/model/odometer readings?
If the car is for personal use is it better to search for one on ebay (as I understand, you can buy something that has major problems on autoaction like this)?

Actually, I have more interest for 4wd models. Can you post that stats as well for 2008-2009?
How can I get access to the same stuff myself? What do I need for that (other than valid dealer license that I don't have)?

I think you need to have a dealer's license and be registered at Manheim.
I'm using my friend's access and I know he's a dealer.

John96, if you want help getting a car from Manheim, I locate, inspect, prep, and deliver for 5% over my cost.

Aeggroup, be careful, Manheim trolls boards and will investigate anyone posting their datam which is proprietary and a violation of their dealer agreement to post in a public forum. To be safe you should PM or email that info so as not to potentially get your friend in trouble. Carfax does the same thing.
