I'm not sure. But it was there before I removed the last set of resonators. Now that I have no resonators left,it's louder at idle? I forgot to get a video clip of the car just at idle.

I might be adding different mufflers later. Maybe to tone it down a bit because it's louad when I step on it on the highway.

Is that the s63 mufflers too or just tips? And did you remove both sets of resonators or which one did you removed? Sounds good btw!

My car is finished...i will put some pics...
I got S65 rear mufflers which came with pipes all the way to the catalyzators.I have install it and it was just too loud and lots of rattel sound, and lots off shaking of rear muflers. So i checked two VIN numbers, one S65 and other S63 and tryed to see how their exhaust is build.
The S65 have no resonator but it is V12 engine.
S63 is originaly build with resonator(but i did found some chassis numbers without resonator).
So i have reinstall my stock S500 resonator and car have great sound now. Also rear mufflers of the S63 and S65 are built the same except the end pipes are different...the muffler construction is the same. The difference id that S65 have no resonator...but it is different engine.
Also in EPC if you want to buy new exhaust for S63 the EPC showes that one side of exhaust come welded with resonator and other side is seperate piece that connects to it.
So the reason why any S500 havent got same loudness like S63 is that S500 and S63 resonator are not the same!

I welded on some oem s63 exhaust and also removed the resonator. The car feels so slow now. Lost torque. Should i put back the resonator or put on a x pipe?

Yes...That is the problem..It looks like a Distronic grill but the back of it differ. Only the OEm one lets the beams go through the grill. So you MUST have the OEM one.

Thanks, good to know...
Another question for ya. I up dated the 2010 mirrors, and it seem that the driver side one lights up at the tip constantly while driving. Only the driverside, do you know why?

Ok, so I got the oem mufflers taken off and replaced with aftermarket mufflers. And it solved most of the rattling I was having. Sounds a lot better and deeper compared to the oem mufflers.
