All Season Performance Tires

What brand tires have you guys had good experience with lately? in terms of price, wear and overall performance....

Is this something a local tire shop can do without messing up the TPMS? or the dealer is better choice for this task?

Continental DWS are great tires on all weather, mileage warranty of 40k miles, and price.

I can't run them on my s550 due to staggered fitment and not available in my tire size or else they would definitely be my next tire. I will probably go with the Continental DW instead.

A good local tire shop should have no problem mounting new tires on your tpms equipped

Loved my Michelin all-season tires. Quiet, comfy, grippy and no excessive wearing. Had them on my previous E-Class for the duration of my 3 year lease and the tires looked almost brand new when I turned them in. My current E has Pirelli P-Zero Nero all-seasons on it and they are not as good as the Michelins. They grip less in the snow and there are signs or wear already (car has 14,000 miles on it). Plus they are low-profile tires and the sidewalls are weak. Had to replace two tires already because of bubbling/tearing.

Though I think A/S tires are a bit of a compromise, I certainly understand the point (wife's car has A/S tires). +1 for the Conti DWS. My next set will be the Conti DW Summer only on my S550V4.

Mine are staggered as well. The DWS is only available for the rear 275/40/19.
Any side effects with mixing brands? I suppose you can get another brand for the fronts when they are worn.

I know I'm late on this chat, but Continental Extreme Contact DWS are sweet. My awd chews through Wisconsin snow, reasonably quiet and about $200 ea. online. Had inde mount etc. Maybe won't work for staggered, but surely solid for me.

Thanks for the confirmation on the DWS. Sounds like it is the ONE to go for...they do have my size for the fronts 255/40/19 in the DW line .... so it will look kinda similar having the DWS in the rear and DW in the front.

continental sport contac 2 fits staggered wheels, but it is the worst brand you will ever want to have, the side tread blisters and company will never honor their warranty unless you threat to sue them. This tires are no longer manufactures in the US or Germany, it is made in Malaysia.

Dealer sells Continental Sportcontact

Sounds like people do not like the Sport Contact 2.

What about the Sport Contact?
My dealer is wants $650 out the door for the 2 rears (275/40/19)
Any input is welcome on price and model.

For all season, with Wisconsin winters, I put Conti Extreme Contact DWS on last November. They really have performed well. tirebuyer.com has them in 275/40zr19s for $250/tire. If you have an indi to mount, balance etc. that's a grand, plus free shipping. I have no vested interest, except being practical w/ my money. Other vendors may be less. Check around. The DWS is a solid all-season, imo, if you want Conti. Good luck.

Looks, style, performance is good and stable but the quality and durability is extremely poor. And i can stake my reputation to that.

I second the Conti DWS. I have them on other cars. Great tires. I have the DW on my S550 since it is staggered.
