Mercedes Introducing Six new S-Class models
6 New S-Class Models Rise from the Ashes of Maybach
In order to fill the space in the super luxury segment that Maybach left when they were shut down, they've decided to expand the S-Class line by six models. It makes sense, considering the company was losing upwards of $400,000 on each model.

I'm very much looking forward to the S-Class coupe. Also the Pullman is going to be a monster of a car. It'll be way cheaper for them to produce compared to the Maybach. I can't wait to see what they do.

Isn't the CL based on the same platform as the S? Thus if theres a S- Class coupe wouldn't that phase out the CL?

Yeah, I assume so. Since the W140 still had the S-Class coupe initially, and the CL name replaced that, they're just going back to their original naming scheme.
