slow activating rear view camera

Maybe I'm too much of an "A" type personality, but after starting my ('07) S600, and backing up, I'm about 3/4's of the way out of my parking spot when the camera finally comes on after its "activation" process.
Has anyone else noticed this? I doubt there's any way to have it come instantly on as with BMW's

Same here. When I get in the car, start then engine and start reversing I still see MB logo and that CAUTION **** on the screen. When that goes away the camera is finally on. I'm pretty sure there's nothing you can do about it, because they need to show you that safety crap.

did it just started doing it or has it been always that way. if recently changed than try resetting the command unit. it might help or u will probably have to make a trip to the dealer. good luck.

Just tap on the COMAND controller, and the warning will go away.

Think it might be a 600 issue....Had all the software updated and still same issue, also have a 2007 and takes a good 3-5 seconds even with engine running for few minutes. SD card also takes forever to read and cue up even with class 10 sd card, dealer of course has no solution to this issue.

Has anyone had the camera screen, NOT automatically revert to normal after resuming drive in forward gear? This past week, my car (2007 s550 4matic) will enter normal rear camera view screen on the display, but won't automatically change back once I start driving....never had a problem before..took a few seconds, but always used to change back? If I push the control wheel, it changes back, but not automatically???

Anyone have ideas or similar experience?

Thanks in advance!
