So my Comand has traffic info...
I was using the nav for the first time yesterday and say "traffic," when it occurred to me that perhaps, it would give me traffic information. Sure as ****, it did!
Now my question is this: I have DVD playback when parked, traffic info, but no bird's eye view.
I was under the impression that to get traffic and DVD playback, you had to have the latest telematics update, which would automatically give you the bird's eye view.
Do I need another telematics update? I also have no idea what map software I have (how do I look this up), but I have a DVD for 10.1 version.

Well....so apparently I already had the correct telematics update. LMAO!
I noticed yesterday when driving, when it would give me the turn arrow directions, it looked pretty nice, and I wondered if maybe I had the right update.
So after the nav update was completed, I looked around for the menu Chris mentioned. Couldn't find anything... until I pressed Navi on the top left corner and saw "map display."
And there I saw bird's eye view. Oh man LOL!
Well, at least I have the (almost) latest maps, so everything is good! haha

The new ones have internet connectivity. Not far from being able to update MAPs on their own. But not yet, still need DVDs.
At least in Europe the new W212 models have free maps updates (was it for three years), no need to purchase DVDs then.
