My 2007 S550 dvd video is not working (only dvd audio works), so to get this to work what should i ask the dealership to do, i've read i need the 2008 software update, is that what i should ask them to perform.
Also some of the dealerships here in Vancouver, Canada say it's not possible.

I'm not familiar with the '07....first,did the video work at one time? If not you must confirm that the '07 is capabable of playing video.I know mine does but only when the vehicle is in Park.Is this vehicle new to you?

I've read other people with 07 S550s have updated their command software or something to 08 and got the dvd video to work in park.
I believe i have the older telematics in my 07 and only dvd audio has worked.

If it plays fine when in park, but you want to watch whillst driving , you would need a special sort of dongle installed behind the dash/comand unit .
This tricks the comand ,thinking its stlll in park..Dealer does not want to do ..because of traffic laws.
