SO I got TOWED over the weekend :(
My mistake, my fault, i dont care about the $200 tow.
BUT.....the dumbass tow truck driver scratched my front and back bumpers. He also put some sort of grease of whatnot on the under the back of the car where he scratched the underbody (some sort of shield).
what can i do?
atleast they claim that they used dollies to tow since its a 4matic.
the 200$ for towing is peanuts compared to how pissed i am about the bumper scratches.
ALSO.... where can i purchase a barolo red bumper with sensors etc?
I HAVE FOUND ONE ON EBAY.....but they said it WONT match? can anyone help?

Tow companies are usually a ***** to deal with to get reimbursements and what not... see if you can go through your insurance, have your insurance fix it and then let insurance company deal with getting the money back from the tow Co. This will also mean your car gets fixed faster.

ive read articles online where since its a tow truck, aka another vehicle, it will count as an accident. i do NOT want to have "accident" pop up on the car fax when i sell in 3-4 years.

the funny part is the "tow box" thats in the bumper has some jelly crap between the tow box opening and the actual tow box...
also under body has some scratches and scuffs and they also put that garbage there. ive taken many pics and also am documenting all conversations with them.
i wish i could record phone conversations but it is illegal in IL.

You should ask your insurance company to compensate the direct as well as the indirect damage to resale value. Replacing a bumper is not something that would go unnoticed either.

I have a 2007 S550 AMG rear bumper and valance if you want to have some 2 single exhaust tips sticking out. I'll toss it to you for free, however it is now perfect. Has a scratch dead center from garage door about 2 inches in length.
Hopefully your case works out for you and everything is covered.

i have a lot of info from internet sources saying they ARE liable for damages.
the problem is that i picked it up on sunday and most repair shops are closed. and they also had 'no managers' there.
ive gotten a run around already
was told to call this morning - i did and they said call back at 11
called at 11 and was told that hes not there
called at 2 and was told that he has left for the day and that they would be there tomorrow.
so im going to go the legal route.

Sue the crap out of them for lost wages and whatever else you can, I hate tow companies they always do this type of thing I have seen so many stories like this. Keep us posted.

I would not jump the gun on suing them until after you actually speak to someone there with authority who refuses to help. So far you are just an annoyance to them they hope will give up. But they have insurance too. Be persistent to show you are not going away. Once you sue you will automatically delay any resolution by months. Also, make sure you know what court to sue in. Small claims courts have limits of like $2,500 and that may cost more, but small claims courts are fastest. If you have to sue in regular trial court it will cost more and take longer. And don't think you will get lost wages, etc. Sue only as a last resort.
