2012 S550 - Question re Sport Mode

I just picked up a 2012 S550 for my wife last week. The car is just phenomenal.

One question I had is whether you can select "sport mode" as the default. On her CLS550 that we traded, if you selected the sport mode, it would stay in sport mode until you turned it off. It seems our S550 resets to economy mode every time we shut down and restart the car. My wife really likes the power and would prefer to leave it in sport mode all the time.

Thanks in advance for any tips!

Best regards,
TC

I think it's default that it switches back to economy (comfort in my case), my 2010 does the same.

it will also go back to comfort now when you start the car, part of their way to meet those regulations. my 07 doesn't have that, and i think it was changed in 2010

Yes they changed it. It's not a defect. 2011 C class I had for a loaner also did that.

Can this be set by the Star Diagnostic (to keep in Sport mode)?

Damn that sounds irritating...A car should never deside for you...If you want sport it should stay in that..
