Ok, I could really use some help here. So I removed the steering wheel and column stalk from my 2007 S600 and replaced it with the column stock from a 2010 S600 and then installed the steering wheel and airbag. I tried it this way and immediately got an airbag error and none of the buttons on the airbag worked or the horn. So I tried swapping out the airbag module as people mentioned above. I began to put the old one from the 2007 but then quickly realized on the right side there are 3 spots for plugs and on the 2007 there is only 2 spots. So right way I'm thinking there is no way this is going to work. Also I scanned the code and this is what I'm getting. Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks
I did try with the older steering wheel module but as I stated above I'm confused because the old style has 2 plugs on the right hand side and the new one has 3. Meaning the newer steering wheel has 3 wires/plugs to plug in and the old module only can accept two.
I know this is old but worth a shot lol. I just purchased a 2010 steering wheel with airbag. Want to install it in my 2008. Is all I need to do is remove the control unit from my 08 and install it in the 10 assembly? I can’t understand if anything needs to be done to wiring for buttons to work or just swapping units. Thanks
Hi! I'm facing the same problem like all of you guy's, i hope there is people who still can answer to my question. Ymalghamdi explained nearly 13 years ago, how he did the swap and make the multifunction buttons also to work. Please correct me, if i'm wong, but i understood that he changed the OLD pre facelift multifunctional button main panel, and he put it on the new FACELIFT airbag, with the facelift buttons also. The main panel of the multifunctional buttons (size, wiring,...) fits in the facelift multifunctional button "case"? We used to make some of the buttons work( with the base of facelift multifunctional buttons), we tried to figure out the pining( the 10 to 8 pin) but only some of the buttons work (like volume + and - but in the oposite way, the - is volume up and + is volume down). We used the pre facelift wheel's control module and the only thing is works well are the padels. Can someone give me an answer please?

Not yet, but i figured out by the pictures, that he just placed the old button panel, in the new steerling wheel's button case. As you can see on the pictures, the old button panel is placed with some swrews so it's clear that is custom modified XD. But it work then without any pinig, you just use the same module, same wires, nearly everything from the old wheel. Maybe in the next 2-3 week's i gona do it as well, now i already get used to press for example the - button when i want to take the volume up, that's because we tried a custom wiring, with the facelift button panels, and they are tottaly diferent by function.😂 I gona take pictures and maybe video also if you guy's need help.
