Hi.. I want to add a reverse camera and ipod kit to my 2007 cl500.. I found the kit on ebay but is it worth buying the following from a Chinese company (their English is so poor and they don't understand me!?

It's not genuine MB obviously... But do you think it should be able to code the command unit to add an aux socket and activate the camera/camera module to the car... It sounds like a pretty handy tool for a DIYer like me... I have seen it done on the official MB Star... But that's way too expensive for me...
. I have Googled it.. Seems to have mixed reviews but in principle, might this kit be able to code for the additions and save some £££s in the future

for all I know you need the Xentry Star with the developer mode to be able to code things etc.
Also it seems to me a bit dangerous toy because of the abilty to screw things up seriously, if you do not know what you are doing ..
Perhaps you could find someone to do the coding for you?
These are still my considerations,I am a quite knowledgeable person hard-soft and car-tech-wise ahum.. but still dubbing if I should and dare to take the plunge with a device that probably is difficult to get working in the first place.
I have heared good things about ecartool.com in Taiwan but they have some strange prices on their website though..
