are the steering wheel buttons replaceable?

I was trying to clean something off my steering wheel button the other day and rubbed off more than I'd like. It's kind of annoying looking at faded buttons like that. Seems like they're attached to the airbags, was wondering if they're replaceable?

I've got this issue on my R and have started the process of rubbing all of the "rubbery texture" off. I've got a friend who rubbed all of the texture off of his E and the buttons feel really good and still looks very fresh as well. You may want to try that first before replacing the buttons: dealer wants $300/side for my buttons! =O

+1 on just rubbing off the rubber coating. I did the same on my right hand button since it was peeling. It came out really good. I prefer how the texture of the button feels without the rubber coating, it's less slippery. I just used my thumb finger nail to scrape away the rubber coating and had a can of compressed air to blow it away. The icons on the button are below the rubber coating and were not damaged. I've attached some pics of how it came out.
