My 2010-2011 S63 Conversion Project

Is there any major reason you got your WHOLE CAR REPAINTED?!?! This SEVERELY diminishes trade-in or resell value due to car being a complete repaint. Aftermarket paint is not ANYWHERE close to factory paint. 100% of the time there are imperfections that the factory just doesn't put it. I think you may have jumped the gun there, a hard buff/polish/wetsand by a professional would have not cost you over 3-400$, and it would have looked like new, unless your whole car was keyed. Looks good however, just the complete repaint would scare the **** out of me!

Well first let me say, the paint and body shop I used is a certified Mercedes paint and body shop that utilizes only Mercedes paint (http://concoursautobody.com). I personally detail all my vehicles and sure I could have made it have a deep shine, but I want a fresh look all the way around. Additionally, my car is a 2007 and I'm not concerned about selling or trading in my car because I plan on keeping it. I have three vehicles and two of which are 2011s and when and if I do plan on getting another car I will pay cash for it. When it comes right down to it, the resale or trade in value of a 2007 car of any type is greatly reduced just based on the age and possible mileage. Also my car has a clean Carfax because my insurance didn't pay a dime, I paid for it so unless I told you it was completely repainted you would think it was the original factory paint. I guarantee you, if I was to sale this car, I wouldn't have one issue doing so.

My entire conversion excluding the headlights and big brake upgrade cost almost 20K, but the repaint and installation and painting of the body kit, mirrors etc. cost $12,800.00. I would also add, if I didn't tell you it was a 2007, you wouldn't know, (unless you looked at the headlights) you would think it was brand new.
