My 2010-2011 S63 Conversion Project

Okay guys, I know there have been a few conversion project that have been completed this year. Here's mine, 90% completed with the exception of the headlight upgrade and the big brakes. Below are the following items that were upgraded and the source and price I paid.

1. Councours Auto Body did a full body repaint of the vehicle, installation of the front and rear aftermarket S63 bumpers, grille, side mirrors, 22" Vossen CV3 Matte Sliver wheels, and front windshield. http://www.concoursautobody.com/
Cost: $12,840.00

2. Gary@Suvneer supplied the 2010-2011 S63 Aftermarket front and rear bumpers.
Cost: $1400.00 plus shipping

3. Chris The Swede supplied the 2010-2011 facelift side mirrors
Cost: between $750-$800

4. Miracle Auto Design(ebay) supplied the facelift grille and new hood release pull
Cost: $250.00

5. 323 Motort Sports supplied the 22" Vossen CV3 Matte Sliver wheels
Cost $2675.00

6. Sonic Motor Sports supplied 2010-2011 S63 exhaust tips
Cost $800.00

7. Express Parts (ebay) 2010-2011 facelift tail lights
Cost $385.00

Total cost so far: $19,450.00

Here are a few before during and after pictures, I will update the thread some with some HD pictures.

Thanks jett3jett,

I wanted to make sure that the ride looked as clean as it could be so I had to get it repainted. Also I know the tips are slanted, I'm debating on if I should leave them like that or have the guys fix it.

Slick ride. Love what you've done so far and thanks for leaving the AMG badge off! Also love the 65 grille. Lots of guys are doing the conversion but only putting on the regular grille. My opinion is if you've got to buy one anyways, why not get the best one?

Please get the exhaust tips fixed, it's just not aligned correctly..

BTW why did the doors have to come off?

Hello xxGenericSNxx,

Thanks I appreciate it. I still have a few more things to do, but now I can take my time. As far as the removal of the doors, this is how Concours paints to eliminate the chance of having tape lines.

You said that this was your 3rd set of 22's? Where did you bend your previous ones so I can avoid those roads

Nice one!

Wow, I can see that Chris The Swede has really motivated some of you guys to take on this project. Car is really looking sick. It's great to see how a facelift front bumper with LED strips can change radically the look of a already gorgeous car. Keep it coming bro. Project is looking lively so far. I love to see people who spend real ca$h to get a great job well executed. Not low ballers trying to take cheap routes in order not to incur bills. In that case, they shouldn't be driving a Mercedes.

You now have a 2012 car. All you have to do is go back to Mercedes and re-register your car for 2012/2013 and get another free 3 years warranty on it. Job done!!!

That dude has some raw talent. Having followed virtually all of his projects, I would have to say Mercedes technicians ain't got s*** on him. I really applaud his cojones. His projects don't wait. They move at a fast pace and that is the fun of it. I had wanted to sell my car to buy a newer car, but right now am gonna have to drop some few (£) just to take my already beautiful car to another level. You know, new cars are not everything. Chris The Swede resurrects cars. He gives cars a new soul. I would really love to see him back once and for all or I might have to plan a secret journey to Sweden just for him to put his hands on my baby. I am sure that will be worth it.

My only question is if they lined up the exhaust tips correctly. Easy fix regardless

Yep this is the third set of 22s that I've bought for the car, the first set are 2 piece and in need of repair. The second set are 3 piece wheels and the are in excellent condition, I just had all four chrome lips replaced and now they're for sale. The Tri-State areas of New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvannia are dangerous for any size wheel.

Thanks,

Spending 20K to get a refresh ride that I'm very familar with was a plus for me. I definitely could have bought another car, but I really wasn't interest in purchasing anything right now and I tend to purchase up from the current model.

Just curious how you hooked up the LEDs in the bumper to the car and were these supplied by Gary?

The DRLs are connected to the side markers, they're bright as can be and so far no issues. Yes I bought them from Gary with the front and rear bumpers.

Ah good call connecting them to the side markers. Love how you've got that clean Euro style.

Great Job man, although paying so much for paint is kinda crazy to me, other than that looks flawless. When are you putting new headlights?
