How to remove rear subwoofer/seat on my 2007 s550
I'm trying to remove the rear sub woofer on my 2007 s550. The only option my rear has is the power headrest fold down. So I guess I need instructions on how to remove the rear seat aswell. Please help.

Yes you have to remove the rear shelf and in order to do this, you have to remove the rear seat backrest (headrests and the panel from the front part of the trunk etc.).
It takes ages to walk through the whole process. If you are from the US, I would suggest you to subscribe to WIS (at Startekinfo) and print all the relevant documents.

Is there also a Startekinfo for Europe to subscribe to ?
To the OP: for more info on retrofitting subwoofers etc please find interesting threads by dannieboiz.

Yes:
http://service-parts.mercedes-benz.c...tion?pageId=11
It should only be available for companies though, just like TIPS, unlike EPC.

Thanks. But can anyone possibly PDF the instructions? I'm quite handy around a car so i just need the basic info, order of removal ,bolt and screw location and how to remove those pesky headrest. I did this to my cls550 with some help from another member. I'd appreciate any assistance you guys can offer.

I see you really don't want to subscribe to startekinfo to print the instructions yourself but rather wait for "free prints" for many months. You should try to give some arguments why other members should spend their time at the database instead of yourself?
If you have a good reason, PM me your email address and I'll see if I can help (once I have time for the task).

Hello. Not that I want others to spend their time looking it up for me. I just figure if someone knows how to do it, why not share like the rest of us do. Not asking for anyone to go out of their way. I've contributed to answering some questions people had before so some reciprocity would be nice I guess. And I don't have my laptop, it was "lost" at the airport. Currently viewing through my iPhone. All help is appreciated.

Yes, sharing information and experience is what we should do at these forums. I just find it impossible to properly describe the whole procedure to access the subwoofer while WIS prints would do it well. Sharing WIS prints at the forum is questionable (MB copyright) which does not leave many options.
