Its a lot of money considering all the work i just put into the car. Your updated headlights do look much cleaner, hands down
Add another 1k to the 2700 and you got yourself amg brakes to fill in your wheels

How did you come up with 1k? Which calipers? and do i need different rotors?
After reading ChrisTheSwede's w221 thread i think I'm going to try to mix and match different AMG parts, ..maybe somebody's on here is selling their E55 calipers?, this way i can go AMG without breaking the bank.

most people i ask about the amg brake kit here in mbworld would only say 1 thing. email nlbenz for more info. the whole kit will cost you around 3700 shipped.

Maybe it was the aggressive driving I've been doing that helped my exhaust break in because as of this morning there is no more fluttering.
My car is in my warehouse for hurricane Sandy so i thought i would show you a cold start video

Low revs up to 3-4k rpm
Sounds much better than before, but still too quiet in my opinion

Hate to break the bad news. But the fluttering will be back once the car warms up. Mine did the same before I had the x pipe installed. Made a big differance.

I just ordered a tru X
Im looking for mufflers to replace the stock ones, how much difference did it make adding the magnaflows? worth the money?
IM ordering today so i have them when the hurricane is over, do you know which ones you bought? Thanks

It's better than stock. But my most concern was to get rid of the fluttering noise. It was driving me crazy. I would suggest you install the x pipe first and see how u like it. If its too soft. Then remove the mufflers. And if that's too loud. Then replace it with different mufflers.

Jett,

So far so good! I am sorry for not being able to provide a video of my setup and sound. What I can tell you is if you delete the rear mufflers and straight it, it would be extremely loud! So the only mod I did on my exhaust was replace the huge stock mufflers with magnaflows, nice rumble, idles loud outside and SLIGHTLY louder in the cabin.

Sorry to hear that the rides got flooded out, but look on the bright side.....they can be replaced. I live in New Jersey and all I had was a power outage so I count myself and family very very lucky. I hope that the cars were the only damage that you suffered from Sandy. When I look at the pictures of the aftermath of this storm, I instantly see Katrina all over again. Keep us updated on your situation and stay safe.

I'm so sorry to hear about your cars! I know you were spending a lot of time and money into doing this retrofit.

I hope insurance will cover the cost of the car + the modifications you just did.

hey jett,

i'm sorry to hear about that...there is a reason for everything...Look at it this way you're young, you have plenty of years ahead of you to build up other cars...the main thing is you're safe and no one is hurt..these things can be replaced...stay safe...

What a disaster has struck that part of the US..

Sorry to hear about your cars but as long as yourself and loved ones are ok!

Hopefully insurance will cover and you can get a 63/65 soon.

Thank you for the kind words everybody. Most importantly my father is okay. At 71 years old i wasn't sure he would be able to hold up with cold/flooding. We were stuck in the factory for 36 hours after the storm hit until my cousin was able to come save us and take us back to his home. It was complete misery but thank god everybody is safe

Both cars are completely flooded. I know i want an s63/65 but i think given my age and income its a little far fetched for now. I saw some nice s600's for about 45k so that seems much more realistic.

You can always throw all of these facelifted AMG conversion parts onto that used S600!

Agreed!

And with a little tune, it will leave S63 in the dust all while having a much more luxurious interior

Exactly what i was thinking, facelifting to the AMG kit. Now that would be a badass ride

A fine example of an 07 s600 designo. You either love the interior or you hate it

Personally my favorite interior choice for w221 is mystic white with black piano wood...simply beautiful to the eye but it might be a pain to keep clean
