Tail light

Does anyone know if the colored trim pieces are interchangeable? If so I am looking to buy a passengers side tail light in any color for a 2008. If not I am looking to buy a 2008 tail light in white, :-)

I also looked for a DIY thread for replacing tail lights in a 221 but all I can seem to find is threads about upgrading to 2010 lights. I am assuming, take the carpet out, unbolt the light, plug in the new light and then put it all back together. The only thing that is throwing me off here is the colored trim. I have found lights for sale on ebay that are Oem but the trim are all in different colors except white, which is the color I need. I have also seen tons that are aftermarket which appear to not have any trim so that leads me to assume that the trim comes off somehow and can be moved to the new light? Either way I want Oem light only not aftermarket junk that won't work after a few months.

So anyone got a passengers side tail light with white trim?

I don't think the aftermarket LEDs will accept colored trim. I just see it offers clear or black tinted fir the reverse and parking light. You might need to go aftermarket is you have an earlier build if the w221. I'm pretty sure the oem"updated" led can't be retrofitted to our cars unless something is done with the Sam. Anyone else know this. Does someone know the side by side differences between the oem and aftermarket led tails?
