Question looking for v8 BITURBO fender badge

does anyone know where I can get the v8 BITURBO badges for the fenders. I know I can get them at the dealer for $68 each. Just curious if you knew where I can can them less expensive.

I have a 2012 s550 and the engine is a v8 BITURBO, so even though the AMG cars have the same engine and have the fender badges, I was going to install them as well. Is that tacky ??? Again the new 2012 engine is a v8 BITURBO

also I removed the 0 from the rear truck lid s550 now reads s55 ; ) just for fun

I did that on a E500 (removed the 0) and had wheels on it etc . . . . Funny story I was at the dealership and I was in the showroom and heard a person ask a saleman if he could see a E50. Saleman states ... that there is no such car as a E50, the customer insisted..... I saw a E50 with 20" wheels etc etc. funny .........

"S55" is tacky. Adding "V8biturbo," while telling the truth, is still IMO tacky. First thing I'd do when I see the car is if said owner installed "AMG" on the decklid as well.... it looks like you're going down that path.

It is tacky but I don't see why not? Those biturbo engines are beastly, regardless of AMG or not. I'd put a V8 badge on my 07 but I couldn't afford it! Just don't go full AMG nut like a local guy in my area. He did the face-lift rear lights, rear apron, rear exhaust to angular style quad tips, deck badge S63 - AMG, front fenter V8 biturbo badge, the whole thing. What gave it away? Front headlight, side mirror LED, small brakes, interior speakers and steering wheel as a 07-09 model.

Best bet is to try ebay if you are still looking.

I think the S55 part is tacky but if you were to put v8biturbo on the trunk on the right side where the AMG emblem would go then it would be fine. Consider getting a tune for your S550 biturbo also. I think it'll put a bigger smile on your face than badges can.

Agreed, your car isn't an S55 so don't pretend to have something you don't. The biturbo badge is true to your car so I don't see any issue with that, personally though I'd prefer to remove badges instead of adding them.

In regards to the AMG comments, I do agree and would not add a AMG badge.

Regarding the removal of the 0, after the s55. I just like the way it looks. I dont think I am trying to portray that the car is an AMG. Again, just my opinion. I am not adding a s63 or s65, and it just happens that there was a s55 in the past.

Still not sure about the fender badges . . . . . .

The mere fact of you asking this question tells me that you do not feel that it is right yourself ;-)

All tacky.....if anything, debadge it. You can't tell me you aren't trying to pass it off as an AMG by taking the 0 off and adding fender badges. I think removing the 0 is even odder than adding AMG badges or bi-turbo badges. Just my 0.02.....
