High pitch sound at 51 mph or at 73 mph
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi guys,
I got a '12 S550 4Matic and I'd like to find out if anyone else is having the same problem that I do. When I remove my foot from the pedal (not accelerating) at 53 mph the car makes this high pitch sound all the way down to 49 mph after that everything is normal. At 73 mph it's making this noise even if my foot is on the pedal (constant speed). Today the tech from MB told me that it's normal they all do it.
Can someone confirm? My cousin has the same car and his doesn't make this noise (must be broken )
Waiting for response...
Thanks,
B.

The problem is that the shop forman hears it and everyone else hears it, but they couldn't figure out what it was so they called in a Mercedes Rep, he came drove it with whoever, then they drove another Mercedes and said that another Mercedes made the same noise and it's normal. Don't know which one they drove, no one allowed me to drive that one. But, before the shop forman thought that it was one of the transmission bearings or something that's making that noise, so it's definitely not a quite ride. http://youtu.be/fTOQktA_ZUQ Here is the video, tell me if you can hear it and that it's a "Normal" sound

2010 E350 4Matic
One suggestion is to monkey around with the climate control. (I know that it isn't speed related) The reason for the suggestion is that when I had a high pitched noise in my E350 it was related to the blower. Also I would make sure anything related to the sound system was turned off..
Does the noise change if you put the car into neutral?
