No power to Rear cigarette lighter, but fuse Is good
Can't figure it out. No power to cigarette lighter or rear 117 15a fuse. Fuse is in good shape. Tried new fuse, same thing. Is there another fuse up front or on the sides that might be out that is affecting this one?

Does your car have any aftermarket audio or radar equipment installed? I had no power on my rear outlets and when we got into it, realized either the audio or radar equipment was wired incorrectly off my cigarette power line.
Did it just start happening/ is it a used car? etc.

Well yes.I was using the cig light for amp turn on wire. All wired and fused correctly. Can't imagine what kind of damage occured if any. So how was it "wired incorrectly" and what did you end up doing to resolve this.

I don't know. The tech found the wire was teed off somehow and he rewired it for me. Don't think there was any issue with the fuse.

It may be the cig lighter unit itself. Some have a fuse link in them. Take a voltmeter or test light and see if there is power on the fuse itself. There is a small spot on each side on the top of the fuse that you can touch a test light to. Hope that helps..

a simple fix
This happened to me. On the driver's door, check one of the buttons called the override switch, which disables certain functions in the back seat. Press it and you should be good to go.

I know, very old thread, but any resolution?
Just bought a used S class with this issue. Lighter inop, as well as analog clock and driver's side dynamic seat. Yes, fuse #43 is good. Frustrating.

Might have not noticed yet but does your headlight switch work? How about the buttons next to the command screen? You might need to change out the clock. The clock seemed to be the problem for me. Switched it out and it solved every issue.

This worked for me lol
After years of putting up with this problem this solved it lol I checked fused swapped relays checked the real cig lighter wiring and all it took was me turning off the rear window lock on the driver door arm rest lol I had it off because my husky who usually resided in the back seat is a master escape artist hahaah oh how I miss these forums God bless you all.
