mercedes s350 blutec oil change
how many miles to change oil and 10-40 or 5-40 ?
if change oil other Mercedes brand (do not want to pay $200.00 just for oil and wait 5 hours )

On my 2006 cdi, I change the oil every 8k miles. I think that 10k may be stretching it a little, and 5k excessive. Since my car holds 8 quarts, I again figure 1k miles per quart of oil. Not the best science, but it works for me!
With my last two oil analysis from Blackstone Labs, my iron content is starting to rise, 75 to 91, almost double the standard (46), something I need to be keeping a eye on.

I cant find it in maintenance manual what is regular oil change to keep warranty alive I guess i have to keep all receipts if i ll change oil out of stealership ?
