Help with Drive Dynamic seats
hello everyone!
i have a 08 s550 that i bought at irs auction that only has 800 miles on it and the drive dynamic doesnt work or the massage or air inflation in either seat. the tech at dealer said it is throwing codes for seat bottom and back in the drivers side. i asked him why the passenger side wouldnt work and he said the pump tries to air up the drivers side and then kicks off so it doesnt burn out. the batteries were dead when i received the car and i switched them both out.
it is hard for me to believe that the bladders would leak when i doubt anyone ever spent any time in the seats.
the sides of the seat bottom on the drivers side were fully inflated to the maximum when he gave the car back to me and i couldnt get them to deflate. thankfully they gradually went down about over about four days.
they quoted me 1800 parts and labor to fix, i was wondering if that sounds right to people with experience with these seats. any opinions, advice, or insight would be greatly appreciated. is this a difficult DIY?

I would check first if appropriate fuses are ok ..then the sams that control the seats ,afaik their mounted underneath.Maybe just a cable or connector electrical or pneumatic .
