2007 S550

Keyless Go Key 2007 S550

Went through a security checkpoint and my key went through a X-Ray Machine. When I returned to my car, the keyless go would not work. Looked in the manual and to my horror, I discovered that the key should not have been exposed to the radiation. Can the key be reprogrammed?

That seems strange, because I've sent my key through the x-ray many times and I've never had an issue. You may want to check the battery in the key fob.

Mine has been through airport security probably 100 times. That isn't your issue. Every now and them my keyless go doesn't work but using the button on the remote seems to reset it.

Thanks a lot TDwayne69 and Yidney. I will check the battery and try to reset the key again. Hopefully I do not get the "Key Not Recognized" message again.

After replacing key's battery, remove the "push to start" button and put the key in the slot to start manually, turn off...then replace button...all will be well again.

I replaced the battery, removed the button, started the car, turned it off, replaced the button and tried the keyless go again. Still receiving "Key Not Recognized" message.
