Reasonable Deal?
2013 S550 new; Jan 2013 build. The old P1 and P2 packages are now included on all as standard, it appears. Add Pano, sport pkg (with 19" as ride comfort more important than look) and power side blinds. No other options.
Negotiations currently at ~17.25% off sticker. Any opinions?

Thanks, but I bought it with that discount.
Lost my 2003 E500 in bad storm. I had an early 2002 delivery and had ordered nav, but that was the year they had all those problems with the vendor. MB quit taking orders and eventually switched vendors. They sent me a letter in May 2003 saying they would build me a new E500 since they could not provide me nav on my car. When re-ordering, I didn't want to change a thing (but I could have), and I switched keys on July 28, 2003 for a new E500. THAT is customer service. And, there was night and day difference in the car. Those early models were not ready for prime time.
So, I got a decent settlement on a 10 year old E500 with 115000 miles. I have now stepped up to the S550. I think in the final year of the cycle and a 2013 build, I'm pretty safe in getting the best MB can offer for this particular iteration. I do like it a lot.

I loved my E and was worried about the S being too big, but the handling is superb. I'm still not sure it's a good idea to put this kind of money in a car, but then I maintain them well and keep them forever.
It's a pain to have to switch from "E" mode to "S" mode every time you start the car. Wish there was a way around that, but the salesperson said there was not.
