S63 TCU on S550 possible?

Hey all, has anyone considered or know if its possible to put S63 tcu in to 550?
Im sure i dont have to tell you the slow downshifting nature of the 550 trans. i would think the amg programming would work a little better and more willing to downshift

Renntech offers a transmission upgrade that can solve your shifting issues. I dont have it done but its about a $3700 upgrade which I'm almost positive will be cheaper than a tcu from MB. Check their website for details. Just a thought.

I’ve heard about that one, and also notice weistec engineering has similar, but those, from what i understand, are faster and firmer shifts once the shift actually happens. i have a problem with it wanting to shift in the first place.
I spoke to Steve at Weistec (nice guy to talk to), he told me that what I’m looking for is somewhat impossible to do. they can tune ecu and perform the valve body upgrade and it will help shifts to happen faster, maybe somewhat simulate it with ecu/tcu combo tune but to actually have the non AMG transmission to be willing to downshift sooner is almost impossible to do.
Basically you would need to remap the downshift vs load points and from what i understand it’s impossible to do on 7g at the moment.

So im thinking instead of wasting money here, save up and get a 600 or 63 next year. Im just afraid if getting in to the same boat with the 600, but at least the 5spd has more tuning options from what i heard.
