W221 knocking sound at low speeds
Hello I have w221 diesel with airmatic. The problem is that my car makes not very loud not rhytmical knocking sounds ONLY at low speeds (until 50 km/h). This sound also appears when I sharply turn my steering wheel with 3 inch amplitude. This sound also appears when outside the car pushing down the front fender. Almost forgot - this sound comes from front left side when car is quite enough warm.
Did you have such problems. Please advice. Thanks in advance.

wheel bering might be bad if the sound is constant while on smooth roads. if sound appears when bumpy, then it could be control arm. Take it to mechanic, lift the car, check suspension.

The bushings are the mounts onto where the suspension arms are mounted and the arms swivel around these points.
Bushings are usually made of a sort of rubber or similar nylon material that over time degrades because of this movement/load and the weather/temperature.

Early in with my 2008 I had a line, I want to say it was a brake line, slapping against the bottom of the car periodically. My tire people found it and fixed the issue.
