Waiting for new model before buying 07 or 10?
I am looking at a 2007 or a 2010....they are at about $32K for the 2007 or mid 50's for the 2010...

I would imagine that once the new 2014 hits the lots, people will be trading in their 2011-2013 for the new one.

My question is will this push down the prices a lot in time for T-giving/Xmas? Is it worth it to wait a couple months...or will it not really make a difference? What have posters seen with a new model affecting the older model?

Also, is it worth the extra $20K for a 2010 over a 2007?

i would get 2012 if performance is important to you. otherwise 2010 is the way to go in my opinion. facelifted, small bugs worked out. less miles.

Cars depreciate all the time, but because of time and mileage and not the new model being available. If one has a budget of $50K, they cannot possibly afford the new W222 anyway. So, there is no point in W221 suddenly dropping in price. Most of those who got into MY2012-2013 W221s knew full well about W222 and made the conscious decision to wait. I am personally waiting at least 1-2 years for all the little issues to get worked out.

The more you wait, the cheaper any car gets. It is up to you to decide whether the difference is worth the wait.
