Jump start 2010 S550
My dad's 2010 s550 has been parked in the garage for about a month. He went on a trip overseas and so he hasn't turn it on for a while. Today he went to start it, but the engine wouldn't start. The car's lights and accessories mode (radio, interior lighting, etc.) work, but the engine fail to start. We are thinking about jump starting it with our Acura MDX. Do we connect the negative clamp onto this brown thing? Sorry it's not my car...so im not familiar lol. TIA.

Jchen001,
Any chance you tried calling a MB Service Advisor? Or the parts department for an answer? When you find out, let us know too.
On a side note the Mercedes charger (CTEK brand) doesn't ask for the battery type when charging. What type of battery charger are you using ? (Out of curiosity..if you don't mind me asking)

I believe the roadside assistance has changed in the last few years. If you are out of warranty you have to spend a certain amount at an authorized Mercedes dealer on your car (yes it is per car, not driver) to enjoy roadside assistance.
