What year did they get the 550 motor fixed (balance shaft sprocket)

What year did they get the 550 motor fixed (balance shaft sprocket)

I know this engine is notorious in other models until about halfway through 2009. Does this mean that it would be stupid to purchase an S550 prior to 2010 as well?

to be more exact, you want one where the engine serial number is *AFTER*
2729..30 468993 (for engine 272 )
2739..30 088611 (for engine 273 )

My engine number is 273961 30 235484 with a production date of Feb 11, 2008. I don't see how it would be a problem to purchase an S550 prior to 2010 because of this problem...
