Mike, How does this part attach? It looks like the same part number I had with the two sided tape.

Yeah, I think they're the same part. Peel and stick, man. Try dry fitting it first to see if you like it before exposing the adhesive. I agree it looks like a flimsy piece of nothing before it's installed, but it definitely gets the job done once it's on the car.

Mike, thanks again. Sounds like the same part. The one i had was not a snug fit. It didnt seem to be a correct application.

S5...I ordered the OEM. As soon as it shows up I'll put up some pics to help others thinking about it.

Definitely post pics. I'm interested to see the difference vs the less expensive route. I'm guessing it will feel a bit heavier.

Keypad

All here are pics of the keypad. Turns out it is the wrong color for my car. Mike(Bmwmerc) is working to get the correct one for me. Hoping this helps anyone interested.

What's wrong the base color or the wood. Because when I first got mine I thought the wood didn't match but after really looking at it ,it does.

Can you post a pic of the cover next to the trim inside the car?

+1,

but I think it also depends on the color interior/wood you have in the car because the one Mike has looks good but he really doesnt need it because he has that dark interior (I love the black) but the one ICTdesign has looks like the prefect upgrade because the interior is so much lighter.

S5...Base color is wrong. Wood looks good.
Atc...Here you go.

Pics dont show a big difference but there is. Interior is beige color, part is brown. If you have the beige interior look at your door, its like the darker color below window.

Hey Nat, the base color from the pics looks exactly like the original one you have in the car now. Oh wait I think I can tell the new piece is a bit darker beige.

Ok all, Mike at Bmwmercedesparts.com came thru with the correct part. Just arrived today. Kudos to him, because some places don't want to order parts if it doesn't link to your car as Oem. Here are some pics with the comparison of colors. Wooodgrain is the same.

Smile

Hi, I realise I'm resurrecting an old thread, but I would love to know if this part 22168032199051 is compatible with my Australian 2007 S350 with walnut/black trim? VIN is WDD2210562A124238.

I've managed to track a source without the "Australia TAX", whereby we pay at least twice what the Americans and Europeans pay, and I would love this upgrade. Thanks for anyone's help

22168032199051 or 22168032199E38 - either replacement leather will be better quality than existing interior given this an s600 item.

Thanks Konigstiger. I'll definitely be going for the timber option

OK, something a bit weird is going on. When I now search for the part number 22168032199051, it now shows up as a part for the CL600/65, rather than the S600/65.

This is especially weird considering the CL series has C140/C215/C216 as it's model, not 221 anywhere!!

Is this some sort of error with the parts database????
