S600 Steering wheel not working, oil leaking
Hello again everyone!
I could not find a similar issue and that's why I am opening a new thread.
Few minutes ago I started my car, drove 5 meters and I understood that the steering wheel is not working. It feels very hard to steer it, basically I cant turn it, after checking around i noticed that the oil is leaking out of the steering wheel.
Any ideas on what exactly is happening here?

Must be a leaking steering-wheel then ...lol
If the oil is gathering underneath the car on the front, you may well have a leak in the hydraulics of the power steering
system .Very often a pressure hose is damaged/broken ,could also be the steering-pump.Higly unlikely the steering-rack itself is damaged/ broken.
If you have 'ABC', the story could be more complex ,as the the steering- and suspension-systems are interconnected ;if I am not mistaken.

You're not having a great time with your car at the moment, are you? Don't worry, its not just you!
Can you elaborate - where exactly is oil leaking out?
Maybe you simply have a slipping poly-V belt, but I doubt its a simple as that.
Have you checked your PAS oil level? Its in the small oil reservoir in the LHS fornt wing.

Oil is leaking in the front, but the leak doesn't seem like a puddle, it looks like the oil was forced out, like there was too high pressure..
No, I have not checked the PAS oil level, what is it for?
Tomorrow I am going to check it out more closely. This feels bad though![Frown](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Yeah, right now I am quite angry, last year was really tough, I barely could drive it because of all the problems. Hopefully 2014 is going to be different!

So basically they tried to fix the hose, which did not work. I was out for a 300 mile ride and it kept showing Yellow ABC failure sign, but it kept disappearing after i shut down the car, after few hours of driving a red ABC sign showed up.
Now Active Body Control does not work, serviceplace plans to order a new hose, which costs fortune in my country (thanks mb, thanks Latvia), as all imported parts do here. Hopefully that will work and ABC comes back to life!
I will update the forum if anything new or unexpected happens
