Two expensive failures 30 days after expiration of extended warranty
First the steering wheel switches failed intermittently -- $500 repair
Then the ABC high pressure hose failed -- $1000 repair which included replacement of the serpentine fan belt which was drenched with hydraulic fluid.
Unfortunately both of the above failures occurred two to four weeks after expiration of my aftermarket third party extended warranty.
The previous month, the air bladders in both front seats failed while still under extended warranty and $6000 was paid by my aftermarket extended warranty for repair.
Prior to these problems, my vehicle had been trouble free of the last seven years.

How's this: At 103,000 miles (CPO expired at 100k) the tranny in my 06 S500 went. A reman'd installed was $6,000. I'll never own another MB out of warranty again. My 2010 550 is CPO with two extra years or 135k. It'll be traded before the warranty expires.
