Very alarming dual simultaneous front brake failure on low mileage S320. Obviously a manufacturing issue to have two fail with same fault. Caliper pistons seized both sides on front brakes. No recall notice, but I wonder if others have problems. Big safety concern here. MB say not widespread issue. Seems improbable to have dual indentical issue failure and there not to be a wider issue
I agree a very rare occurrence in ANY car. As strange as it may seem, the rare things are just that...rare. They are not widespread. Hope your dealer takes care of you. Since they have seen it before I am sure they will.

I've probably had the same issue. It has 4 piston brakes at front. One of the four were seized from each side. The issue is the coating on the pistons. I guess the pistons are supposed to be some light material and need coating but the coating piles off. I could post some photos.
But where is the safety issue? The car actually brakes at full power. The seized piston does move outwards eventually but never goes inwards. It does not even make the car brake continuously because the disc bends a bit towards the seized piston which makes the pressure release when the brake is released.
An annoying material issue but I cannot see any safety issue with it.
I was not aware that this is actually a common issue.
